HUNGER
Juan Zamora *1982
During his residency at Cultureland, Juan has been stydying cycles of life in nature, the constant process of transformation. He collected plants in the garden at Buitenwerkplaats, fascinated by the pattern of holes made by hungry caterpillars on the leaves. He captured ‘hunger’ in a drawing on paper, picturing the leaves with the pattern on a music sheet. The composition that is reveiled is interpreted by several musicians, who are instructed to be hungry while preforming.
