Asphalt Islands is the test run for a different kind of tourism. The project uses the carpooling infrastructure of the Netherlands as a starting point. In times of growing individualism and the intensive use of information and communication technology the formation of a carpool is usually organized elsewhere. But what happens on the shores of the Asphalt Islands in the meantime?
